Our Cattery
Welcome to Happy Whiskers Cattery, a beacon of joy nestled in the breathtaking town of Huntsville, Ontario, within the stunning Muskoka region. Our cattery is a haven for Purebred British Shorthair cats, all of which are proudly registered with the Canadian Cat Association or The International Cat Association. Our cattery itself is also duly registered with both the CCA and TICA, a testament to our commitment to excellence.
Our breeding cats have undergone genetic testing for over 50 common genetic issues. The results came back with zero genetic issues with all of our cats.
We cultivate a nurturing environment, where our cats thrive with us, with kings and queens housed separately, and are raised alongside our children and dogs, teaching us the value of harmony. Our kittens are lovingly hand-raised, ensuring they receive an abundance of love and socialization from birth, empowering them to grow into confident, affectionate companions. As cherished members of our family, our cats and kittens roam freely, never confined to cages, inspiring us to live life to the fullest.

Happy Whiskers is committed to bringing people and families together with these incredible, loving and gentle cats, whose unique spirit has the power to transform lives. British shorthairs are exceptionally intelligent, loving, loyal and, in our opinion, a priceless addition to any family. Generally, this breed is renowned for being easy-going, affectionate and sociable, thriving on interaction with people and other animals. Their sumptuously soft fur is lush, thick and full, inviting touch and cuddles. They are naturally curious, often taking a keen interest in their owner's activities, as they love to be near and feel connected. At Happy Whiskers, we feel grateful when families discover the joys of this breed, just as we have. As breeders, there's no greater joy than receiving photos of our kittens growing and flourishing with their new families. It's incredibly rewarding to hear from delighted owners who rave about the social, loving nature of our kittens. These magnificent, gentle cats have captured our hearts, and we're confident they'll do the same for yours.
Kitten Policy
-Deposit of $250 required to hold kitten
( balance due upon pick up/delivery of kitten)
-$100 deposit required to be added to wait list (additional $150 once kitten is chosen equaling $250 down)
-Full vet check and vaccination book
-First set of vaccinations and de-worming completed
-Follow up support and/or advice from us when needed
-CCA/TICA Registration
Deposits for kittens are non-refundable
